It’s amazing what the right music at the right time can do.
This recording (click play below) was made last week at a very special event, described below.
I brought my healing music to a gathering of about 50 people to support them through the painful emotions of grief due to having experienced tragic pregnancy or infant loss. The music at the moment of this recording was gently guiding them back to a safe, grounded place so they could connect with each other and move forward safely into the night.
I received a lot of positive comments that evening, but my heart was already so full in watching how the music was helping to hold the space for the healing that people were doing that night.
Feel free to share this music. May it provide soothing support for you during a tender, vulnerable moment. Or just provide relaxation at a stressful time.

About the event:
My intention for the music was to hold each of these people in a gentle way, giving them support for their healing that evening.
My job at this event each year (called “Walk To Remember”) is to watch and listen closely, with my eyes and my heart, and follow the feelings of the evening. The stages of the event are:
- Using music to make a the room feel safe to enter into while carrying these raw feelings.
- Bringing the music to a place of helping people into their deeper, more vulnerable feelings while feeling the comfort of steady, gentle music.
- Playing music to send people off in vulnerable strength on a meditative walk of remembering, around the beautiful wooded grounds outside the venue.
- Playing a warm, tender welcoming song to bring people back from the walk, to move yet deeper into their feelings. This is the time in the evening when those who choose to, share aloud the name of the beloveds who are being remembered that night.
- Finally, bringing the music back up to a more energetic and focused feeling, to help people move forward from the event in a grounded and safe way.
It’s an annual event I’ve had the honor of participating in since 2019, and it’s like a recharge station in the cycle of the year because the value of this work is so clear, and fills me up with so much purpose and joy.

In gratitude,
Alex
